Hello,

I am new to breeding leopard geckos and I would like to know some questions:
- What time does breeding season start?
- How long do you leave the male with the female and how many times (like 24 hours a week for 6 months)?
- any other info other than the age and weight a gecko should be?

1. For me, the earliest i get any eggs is January.
2. I put them together for a day or two, just to make sure it worked. You could also leave them together at all times but keeping them seperate is ideal.
3. They should both be full grown and AT LEAST 50 grams for breeding.

Hope that helps! Maybe some of the more experianced breeders could help you a bit more.

Good luck :)

So keeping them together with produce the same amount of eggs as putting them in at different times?
Why is it ideal to keep them seperate?

Some males have breeding aggression. Its better to keep them seperate because some males will keep pestering the female and it will stress her out. Thats just from my own experience. Other people may have different opinions.

So will they still produce the same amount of eggs?

Yes, But I think you should breed the male to the female again when the female lays her first clutch.

Is that right?
