Breeding?

I bought my male leo from a pet store but it wasn't a chain pet store. It was one where it is privately owned and smells like animals. When I got him every single Leo had a nice fat tail and looked amazingly cared for. Can I Breed him? I know every one says don't buy from a pet store but worse even breed them. Like is there really any difference if it is from a breeder or not. I don't know exactly what his genes are but I'm not selling the babies if I can breed them online or at a show. My friends would take them and they wouldn't care what it's genes were because they will not breed them. I know my female is a bell albino.

The big reason not to breed pet store geckos is that their genetics are largely unknown. That almost always limits your audience of buyers to pet homes. If you have homes, this solves the issue. I would make sure you know how many homes you have available and only incubate that many eggs. Females can lay 20-30 eggs in a season so if you don't have that many homes you may have a whole lot of leos. Just make sure you have a decent incubator and that you have an appropriate place to house the babies for the first month or two of their lives. It is best to keep them until at least 10g to make sure they are healthy before sending them to a new home.
