I remember the Christmas when my dad was in Viet Nam the first time. My mom took a picture of my brother and me dressed up in Santa hats, and Mark had on a cheesy white beard he made out of cotton balls glued on to a piece of cut out paper. We were holding a sign that said, "We miss you, Daddy!" When my dad passed away 2 years ago, he still had that black-and-white photo in his Marine Corps foot locker.
