Broken toe?

I recently bought my little guy from my local ++++++++ and I love him to death. I noticed when I held him for the first time that one of his toes on his back leg looks strange. He lets me move it and he doesn't seem to feel anything. If he does, he doesn't shy away like he does with his other toes. I'm not sure what's wrong with it, or what I should do about it. It doesn't seem to be bothering him, but I am new to leos.

tbh it looks kinda normal to me. most of my leos back feet look like that. :)
geckos can suffer from broken toes but theres not a lot you can do about it because of their tiny size.

To me, it looks like a tiny piece of shed is stuck on the tip of his toe. If it doesn't come off on its own you may want to try wetting a q-tip and trying to gently rub it off. One of my girls always has bad sheds and she's lost a couple toetips because of it.

The piece of shed that was stuck on his toe in the picture was there when I got him, and it wouldn't come off. He shed last night and when he pulled off the new shed on that toe, he pulled the old shed and the toe tip with it. :(

ah i did not notice the discolouration on the toe in the photo. thought you were referring to the back toe :S
sorry to hear it came off. jst keep the foot clean and clear of debris and it should heal fine with no problems. loosing the tip of one toe should not inhibit your gecko atall. just have to make sure the same dose not happen to the other toes.
