I was taking some furniture out of my gecko's tank and I dropped it. I think i broke his right front limb. It's too late to take her to a vet. What do I do!!!

Thanks. I guess I can calm down a bit. I can only hope I didn't crush it. I guess for now I will leave alone and get her to the vet tomorrow. I can see the vert bill now. Thanks so much. You have manage to put my mind a little at ease. I just feel so horrible.

I'm glad I could help you out. Things happen. I know it's harder when it's a pet and you can't explain it to them, and don't know how to help them. Just make sure you get it fixed and I don't think he will take it out on you too bad lol. Let us know what happens, though.

Exactly. On top of everything she is ovulating and hasn't eaten in over a week, and now this. I will get her to a vet tomorrow and will let you know how it goes.
Thanks Again.

FYI - Couldn't get her in to see the vet today. The vet wasn't in and he's the only one who specializes in reptiles. But there is some good news. My girl is now walking perfectly on the limb I thought I had broken. I'm thinking of putting of a visit to the vet for a few days only because it is so costly just to get her there and back and that doesn't include the exam and I don't have lots of money. If she were limping there would be nothing to think about I'm a little torn on that one. What do you think? I appreciate all thoughts and opinions. In ther meantime my vet is in tomorrow and I have the staff aware of my situation, they said I could drop her by tomorrow for a visit. Will update later.

This Forum is wonderful.

Awww! Poor thing! Yes get her to a vet ASAP. Try not to beat yourself up over it. These things happen. maybe you should swith to cage furniture that is not so heavy. I use light plastic or light wood everything with little lizzards.

Hi Everyone,
Took my leopard gecko to the vet and as far as the vet can tell there is no permanant damage. Little SB is up and crawling all over the place without a limp in site. Nothing broken. and she is starting to eat again. A bonus. Thanks for all the words of wisdom and thanks to Scott&Nikki for helping to put my mind at ease. It was much appreciated. Have a great week everyone.
