Bufo madness!

went over to my aunts house last weekend without knowing that she has a small creek with hundreds of little toads hopping around. you would take not even a step and have about 4-5 toads hopping either in front of you or away from you. I picked up a few and took em home. Ended up getting 9 in total with a few males and females. One of the males I picked up has missing fingers on his left hand. if you look at it closely it looks like the rest of his fingers are tucked inside of his arm which leads me to believe it wasn't something trying to get him but a mutation of some sort that caused him to have one finger. He can't breed because when he does if the female moves he ends up falling off because he lacks a thumb.. anyway heres some pics!

Horney lil boogers what cha gonna do with them? My son had a HUGE Bufo for about 5 years and she was amazing. Had all this deep browns and reds on her. I wish I had a pic that captured her beauty. We called her Miss Toad (yeah I know real original).

Gonna keep 4 or 5 of em and realease the rest at a creek near my house.
when I lived in New york there was this one spot where there was hundreds of american toads all about the size of my thumbnail and some huge bullfrog tadpoles in the pond. One time me and my friend spoted a bullfrog that had to be a foot tall but when we tried to catch it it got out of the net.. I would also find some black rats snakes occasionally

We get ton here too in suburbia esp at dusk. You can't walk 10 feet with out seeing one but I think that's cause we have so many old wells around here (I know I have one right in front of my house) and I think they live in there. Miss Toad use to love it when you'd rub her poison glands.
