i hope this is in the proper location.. ok so i put my air conditioning in my window and birds decided to build a nest and raise the young.. well.. now theyre gone and now i have a new creature in my room... bugs.. i can barely see them at all.. a magnifying glass doesnt work on these bugs.. my friend said theyre probably bird mites.. well i cleaned my room for 4-5 hours doing everything i can to stop the bugs.. yet theyre still here.. so im thinking of bug bombing my room but my leopard gecko is in my room and im worried about him.. of course ill be moving him to a different room in my house... the bird mites need a bird as their host otherwise theyll die over time.. they try to use my as a host.. but that wont last long. im just worried that theyll try to use my gecko as a host :( and i want them to be gone as soon as possible.. oh and so far i have yet to see my gecko freak out or anything.. so i think im fine.. and im going to bug bomb my room so ill have to move my gecko somewhere else. which (probably will) cause him to be stressed out.. and i understand that you should keep your animals out of the room for 3 days (or so) ... should i let him back in there in 5? or will 3 be ok? freaking out cuz i can feel the mites crawling on me and its bugging the hell out of me.. again.. just worried about my gecko :(

Definitely move the gecko cage far, far away when you do the bombing. Put him in a temporary container and do a full scrubbing and disinfecting of the cage and everything in it. If there's anything wood, bake it in the oven for a couple hours at 250 F. And check the gecko over for mites while you are moving him, just to be certain he's not carrying any. This will ensure there aren't any mites or eggs being carried back into the room after bombing.

I would think 3 days would be all right, so long as you vacuumed and wiped up by then. I'd just be careful about letting him climb all over things you may not have cleaned (if he stays in his cage, not an issue).
