Building new enclosure - lighting question

I am building a new enclosure to replace my 20L. It is built into a wooden cabinet and I am nervous to have a reflector bulb and the heat it brings inside the cabinet. I have 2 16w UTH for heat and would like to have a energy efficient red bulb for viewing..do you think this will work?

If it did get too hot is there any way you could cut or make a vent to vent out some of the heat? Also, maybe you could make the vent adjustable so that you could control how much head is escaping.
