Bulbs and electricity

I'm thinking about getting a beardie and was wondering which types of UV/basking bulbs use the least amount of electricity while still maintaining adequate levels of heat and UV. That has always been a concern of mine, and I was curious to know the total power that some of your setups consume.

I dont know the answer to that yet but once my reptisun burns out in 2 more months I will be finding the best energy efficient bulbs for heat and uvb.

T-Rex and megeray both have great uvb bulbs, you dont need 2 lights (tub and a heat source) so that will cut down on electrical bill just a tad, and you only have to replace them about once a year sometimes 1.5 years instead of the 6 months. petmountain.com has them for around $40, you can use the code love to get 10% off. With the 100w they need to be atleast 12" away from the light, if at 12" its not hot enough then you can just put a heat source under the tank to help heat it up a little (make sure its not to hot and burn the dragon)

Hope this helps!
