That little girl needs a vet. I've never taken anything to St Johns on US 1 here in town, but Dr. Quelch does treat some herps. Some up in Jax too that are on our herp advisory board.

Well, she is now in my care and the bulge has been taken care of. My friend told me to "take her. She's got a far better chance in your care than here. I wont charge you for her, so if you can help her, you can keep her."

He owns a local pet store and just didnt know where to take her, so I stepped in. It turned out to be basically a really big zit....or the herp equivalent. She's in a sterile tub in my rack now and i'll be treating the wound with betadine and saline 2-3 times daily until I see marked improvement. Another positive note, she shed. I'll post pics once she has a night or two to calm down. Also, she has earned a name... Blinky. :)

Yeah. Danny is really great and really cares for his animals. He's still learning alot about herps though. I'm trying to help with that. haha. awesome guy though. :) I really prefer dealing with him over certain chain stores which i think everyone already knows about.

Yes, they're a nice family, very pleasant to talk with. I stopped in today to get some crickets but he was tied up with some fish customers so I didn't get to speak with him. I don't go in very often since we do so many shows and I pick up supplies while there. Good for you for taking the sick gecko into your care! I would about bet there was an injury, from a feeder or the other gecko, and sand got in it.
