Burrowing into Driftwood

I was just looking at my tank, and the big piece of driftwood I have has a little sawdust pile under it. Ive been feeding mealies, and am switching to supers. Will either of these burrow into driftwood as worms or beetles? It had been boiled and baked before use several months ago, for what that's worth.

Found it, it was a super worm.

I figured there would be no way in getting whatever it was out of the wood, but the spot it was in was thin enough to dig it out withour ruining the hide.

Yeah, that happened to me a few times too. If I couldn't get it out, I'll wet the piece of wood and then put that in the oven....just for your information, the baked mealworm is greyish brown in color...:anxious:
