Ok so i go to walmart to see if they had any mealworms to feed my gecko. they usually do for bait for fishing..but all they had were cricket cup and 20 count of butter worms..which was like a count of 50 for like 3.96 and then the butterworms for a count of 20 for about the same heh didnt realize how much they were til i got to the register but i figure i try them..my gecko when for them instantly...i just hope the one she ate isnt to big i tried to pick out larger ones in which i thought might be to big...but other then that she likes them...so my thing is to everyone is have they used these butter worms for their gecko..oh and btw..dont go to your local petshop to buy food for your gecko they rob the hell out of you. like i said walmart had a 50 count for almost 4 bucks..which is a steal.

Nice thread, I was going to post if butterworms can be used as staple diet with mealworms, since here where I live I can get tons of them without expending more than $1...
But it seems that cannot, I will used them only a few during the week

Thought I would give the actual nutritional values for butterworms. They are in fact very healthy, but also expensive. They are also great for getting finicky eaters to back in the saddle. Just got my AFT to start eating again. The only thing better is silk worms, which is why I started breeding them.
