My geckos have recently started eating supers as a staple food and I was wondering if it would be cheaper to keep buying them at the pet store($1.99 per 25) or to buy them in large amounts on the net. Does anyone know of a good site to buy them from?

I have used LLL for SW- but it was summer and they had a good warm weather shipping price and would instruct to "leave on porch if not home". I think their live arrival policy is different in the winter. I try to go to a reptile show a month and pick up about 2,000 SW and various other feeders. I have large critter keepers filled with the flakey cricket food that looks like trail mix. I keep them all in these containers with a lot of sucess for months. I use a litter scopper to find them before feeding. When they start to smell, I replace the cricket food mix. Sometimes I throw in some kale or collards for the SW to feed on....They will often come shipped with potatos in the box. The pet stores are a rip off- there are never 50 or 100 in those containers.

I got a flier for Komodo Reptiles at the last Hamburg Show and their prices seem really good.

If you order from where Jeanne orders its 2 cents per worm. If you keep paying $1.99 for 25 its almost 8 cents per worm. Hope that helped at all.

I get all my feeders from reptilefood.com 1000 Supers for $17 5000 large meal worms for $20 ect the more you buy the cheaper the shipping costs. And if there is every anything wrong with the order they send a replacement asap with no cost at all. Deb

Well, it definitely looks like buying over the internet is the way to go. Thanks for all the helpful input! One more question: How long to supers last before they morph into, well whatever they morph into? I have five leos so I was wondering if a large amount of supers would be a good idea. Any help is appreciated.

P. S. Looked on reptilefood.com and didn't see any supers for sale. :(

Hi Lauren, At Reptile Food they are called Zophobas Worms. I was confused at first too and that was 3 years ago. Mine last about a month in a cooler room. If I leave them in the reptile room they morph into beetles pretty fast. Good luck!!! Deb :D

Jeanne, how do I order from Komodoreptiles.com. They have the best deal, but I couldn't figure out how to order. Is there something that I'm missing?
