Cactus pads?

I've read that Uros and Beardies like cactus pads, but I have no idea how to prepare it.
Has anyone used cactus before? And if so, how did you prep it?

I have because a store by my in-laws carries them. I usually would scrub the spines off with a steel wool and then rinse it off and cut it up into bite size strips for them. My beardies would love it. They aren't a bad price either and if you look around, you can find some good recipes to cook with them.

Also, you may consider cutting the large spines off then holding it over an open flame on your stove for a few seconds to burn off the spines you can't see.

Many hispanic grocery stores carry it.
