Hi! I am Best Friend. I don't own a leo yet, however, I really want to get one and wanted to ask about their feeding habits. I have heard that they eat live insects, (witch I will provide,) and they need calcium powder mixed with it? If this is true, where may I get a this? Also, you don't feed them every day, more like every three to four days, lets say I put sixteen worms in on Monday, would sixteen be enough? Thank you so much, completely open to criticism! Bye!:D

Pet stores will sell the powder. I recommend Repashy Calcium Plus. It has EVERYTHING you need. If you dust the food with that and then also leave a bowl of pure calcium in a small dish in the viv then your gecko will be good to go.

As far as feeding frequency:
Babies should always have access to food. After a few months old they should be fed once a day. As an adult I feed every 2 days, about 10 mealworms, give or take depending on the individual and their specific needs (breeders get fed more and more often, some with slower metabolism get fed less, less often, etc)
