I have a young gecko that was born with a deformed arm. she is doing great, but seems to have MBD, how many times should i give her calciom with D3? I have been giving her this 2x a month (sprinkled on two roaches) and regular calcium 5-6 days a week? She can run around fine her legs just look a bit wobbly and not as straight as my other geckos. She was born sometime in Oct-Nov( i would have to look it up)
also, was this deformidy caused by the other egg that was laid at the same time? when i found the two eggs a unfertile egg was connected to the fertile egg . I took the unfertile egg off of this one but left a dent in the fertile one. do you think that is why this gecko came out with a deformed leg?
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

You want to mostly use straight calcium. Using D3 twice a month should be sufficient.

As for the deformity... they can be caused by a lot of things.. Pictures would be helpful to help identify if it looks like MBD. If the leg is deformed that will cause her entire body to be a bit off balance. Back to the causes though.. could have been a temperature fluctuation, random outcome... never heard of it happening with the 2 eggs though. My gecko has laid eggs stuck together and I haven't had trouble, but who knows, someone more experienced than myself might know. :)

Wow there are alot of calcium questions. I have another to add though. Didn't want to start a new thread.
Although I have had beardies, I'm a leo owner since last year. And I have been using those new zilla desert uv lights, though they dont need it, I know! But I wanted to ask, how much d3 and calcium do you use if you have the UV?
