I Have some calcium supplement that I got form petsmart for reptiles and amphibians called Jurassi cal and I was wondering what D3 was because it says that it dosnt contain it. And also I never see him really get in the calcium. Is d3 imprortant?

Vitamin D3 serves as a catalyst for efficient calcium absorption into the bloodstream. There is debate on whether or not leopard geckos really need VitD3, but my vet says all nocturnal species need it because their skin is not adapted for the absorption of VitD3 through natural sunlight like most other basking reptiles. He says in his 25 years as a herp vet, he has never seen a case of hypervitaminosis D3 (too much) in a leopard gecko.

Since we can only speculate whether it's necessary or not, I use calcium without VitD3 in my mealworm bowls, and feed crickets weekly that are dusted with calcium with D3 and vitamins.

So I should get some calcium with d3 in it for dusting the mealworms or crikets once a week and is there any other suppliments or anything I need?

Keep a bowl of calcium without D3 in the enclosure at all times (you can put mealworms in there, too), and dust the feeders with calcium with D3 and vitamins weekly.

If you post that question over in the Feeding Forum, there will probably be more people that can give you some resources. I get 10,000 mealworms a week online from Rainbow Mealworms.
