calcium qustion

hi i know that this might sound stupid but i heard that if u grind egg shells to a powder they can be use as a calcium for your reptile. is this true

hmmmmmm how would you like being given ground up egg shells to lick? I wouldn't. You can buy calcium almost anywhere and not just on-line.

I've done that for dogs, but have never thought about it with reptiles.

I can't imagine grinding egg shells into a fine enough powder that the sharp edges wouldn't cause injury to the gecko's GI system. There are enough fine-grade reptile calcium products available for cheap prices that it wouldn't make much sense to spend all the effort grinding egg shells.
