We put our mealies in a dish with some calcium. That way the gecko can get as much calcium as needed even if they have eaten all the worms. Other feeders get the herptivite and repcal with D3

Try squishing the calcium until it's a powder- perhaps your humidity made it clump? And then I put the mealies in some sort of container (without holes) and then give it a good shake. They only need to be white, not like a sugar powdered doughnut or anything.

You could also dip the mealie quickly in water, then the calcium will stick to it.

You might find that if you get too much calcium on the worm, then your gecko won't eat it ... mine don't like mealies with too much calcium on it, so dip em in water, dip em in calcium, then shake off the excess.

This works for me, but I usually tong or hand feed, if your just setting the worms free in the tank then go with the other idea of just putting them in a dish with a coating of calcium that they'll walk about on.

I just got this one brand recently I found that does stick to mealies. It's a Zoo Med product, called 'Repti Calcium without D3'. It's the 3 oz size. The particles are ultrafine and even stick to mealies. I just put the smallest shake into my mealie dish then swirl them around and they're coated.

I also have the zoo med calcium. I just put some in the dish before I put the mealworms in ( enough to lightly coat the whole bottom of the dish). When my gecko eats he ends up lapping up some of the calcium with the worm.

cool thanks for the tips...I have been debating coating my mealies or just leaving a small dish of calcium in the tank. I think Ill just leave some in the bottom of their dish sounds like a better plan, all in one spot.
