Calcium

Most people will rotate what kind of calcium they use (D3 or not), using the kind withought D3 more often than with... I realize that D3 is needed for the geckos to actually make use of the calcium, but too much can be toxic. My question is, rather than rotating it, couldnt you just find the right ratio? Like a certain part of D3 to a certain part of calcium? Not that its terribly hard to just rotate, but I was wondering why I'v never heard of this. Thanks.

I imagine you COULD create a correct ratio BUT is it worth weighing each calcium intake every day as opposed to just saying, Ok, today is (BLANK) and I need to give them (WITH OR WITHOUT D3). Its more of a ease of use thing, plus, if you are creating a ratio, how do you ensure that they are ACTUALLY going to eat thier food on that day?? What if they eat a cricket that has little D3 on it one day and the next day they eat two crickets with alot of D3 on it? You see where Im going with it. Just an idea, this is not solid, but just what I could come up with off of the top of my head.
