Not necessarily Sothern. He just prefered Southern so he could possibly pick up but Shipping is ok. He just didnt want anywhere cold cuz he wants a gecko soon. Thanks guys

Cold is a Relative Term
Cold for most of the populated areas of Southern California is different than Cold in other areas of California and , of course, the populated areas of Northern California.
In the most, populated ares of Souther California, the Temps can get down to near freezing levels during the night in a lot of areas but, most of us usually ignore the Cold during the day because all we need is a warm jacket.
Right now it is about 55 degrees during the day where I live and I am a couple of hours (4 or 5 hours) from our southern boarder.
But, I am only speaking in realtive terms because our State is so large and so diverse that we have mountains or deserts that we can drive to that are only a couple of hours (4 or 5 hours) away from just about any place that we are. In some cases, we only have to drive 1 or 2 hours away to be at a mountain location.
Now ... Snow is not a problem so we are not looking at freezing temps and that is good.
So I would think that shipping could happen from just about anywhere.
Now ... driving would be a different story. Oceanside is close to the boarder. I am 4 or 5 hours from the boarder. Los Angeles is another hour or so. But, driving also depends on the weather and on the time of day because the Freeways or Highways can get very congested.
