hi, i bought a tremper albino from a local pet store about 2 months ago but she has me worried. she is so huge in the belly area. her tail is healthy looking but im scared to feed her much because she looks so big. i have a few other females and none who are this fat. she is still pooping and it looks normal, but she doesn't go very often. i tried putting her in warm water as well to try to get her to go. i was also curious if anyone had a leo who was impacted before and what the symtems were. can impaction be treated? any comments would be greatly appriciated. here is a pic of "Honey."

It looks more like eggs (not gravid unless she is with a male because she would have laid since you received her), but her tail is a bit skinny. I have a few females that only poo a few times a week. Lets see if anyone else can enlighten us?

If she is impacted I have heard of people using olive oil or some type of oil. Maybe someone here knows what im talking about?

If you are concerned I would say it's time to get to a gecko vet. There could be a lot of different things causing her to look distended like that, including a partial impaction. But don't just go doing treatments without knowing what is wrong or even if it's a good treatment or not. Your vet should be able to do some diagnostic tests, like maybe an x-ray, to see if it's eggs or sand (both of which would be visible). When you go in make sure to take a sample of poo and all the records you have for her for weight, etc.

thanks guys for the replies. accually my wife helped me check her last night and she says she could see eggs. it feels good to have reassurance thats why i posted. her tail has gotten a bit thinner because i was scared to feed her incase she was in pain. maybe she wasnt happy with the peat moss in her moist hide so i added vermaculite today:) if anyone still has info on a impaction senario i'd appriciate to hear from you still thanks.
