I was wondering if anyone can confirm the sexes on my 2 geckos? The first one im 99.9% sure is a female and the other one I was told was a female as well. I got these 2 from a breeder when they were 3 months old and she said they were female, they are now 2yrs old. The reason im wondering is because last time I put my male in with the gecko in the second image he bit her tail and diddn't let go, I had to pry his mouth open with tweezers.

OK thanks! But do you know why my male would grab her tail? That kind of scared me a bit as he is usually very even tempered with the females

Oh ok! Thanks! I've never bred them before, I just want to see if he'll get along living with my females as they have a huge 50 gallon tank in the middle of the living room to themselves and he has to live in the basement with the other male (in seperate cages of course) and it's very dry down there.

The first time I put my female and male together it bit the female on the neck right away and it scared me so i flicked the male in the head and it let go lol Then after much research I realized he was trying to mate....poor guy, I ruined the mood. I put them back together and they mated right away.

I agree, both are females, and the biting is perfectly normal breeding behavior. If you do not intend to breed it would be best to keep the male separate from the females.
