Can I feed my leos that?

So I just started breeding some mealies and I was wondering, can i feed my leos the beetles????

you can but most dont like them.1 of mine seem to have a thing for the little white things.strange.no pleaseing some geckos.

and the outer shell is a bit hard for them

I don't think the shell is hard for them at all, it's a little tougher then, say, a cricket - but do not underestimate the power of that gut they have.

As far as the beetles go, I'm not sure what their nutritional value is. They have to have something because they do eat and I guess, like the larva we feed, it would be based on what the gutload is made of. I wouldn't feed the beetles as a staple, but I don't see the harm in offering one.

What I don't get is if your trying to breed mealies why do you want to feed off the beetles, since you need them to reproduce? um. Am I not getting something?

As for the your question. I've accidently left mealworms in the tank that escaped and had turned into beetles and my leo couldn't careless, she wasn't interested in them at all.
