Can I use a hermet crab heat mat for a ten galllon tank?Or does it have to be something else,because Idk if the heat mat warms the cage more.It really doesn't affect the temperature in the cage.Oh and one more thing,can I use the rheostat on it?

You are going to need something bigger than a hermit crab mat. Hermit Crab heat requirements and gecko heat requirements are very different. I would recomemend getting the 10-20 under the tank heater by zoo med. You can use a rheostat on any heater.
