Usually I've kept my Can O' Worms in the fridge, and I've noticed that after a while they turn dark and my geckos don't like them as much (expired?) Should I keep them in the fridge or in romm temp.?
If they are mealies then they can be kept in the fridge to slow the morphing into a beetle. Supers need to be kept at room temp. When they turn dark that pretty much means they are dead. You may want to take them out once a week to get food and moisture. Just let them sit overnight at room temp. They will eat and drink, then will be ready to go back in the fridge.
I'm surprised they actually eat that. Those are not nutritious at all. I would suggest switching to live mealies.
They're not. I recommend switching to live mealworms. Buy them online- they a lot cheaper than the cans and a lot better too. Rainbow, American Cricket Ranch, Worm Man all sell and ship, a lot more nutritious, but you still have to gut load these too. These are only recommendations- I'm sure most people would agree with me. I don't know anyone who feeds them the can o worms, mine won't even touch dead food. Ultimately you're going to choose what to do.
I like buying from NYWorms.com or SunshineMealworms.com I've never used Can O Worms but I doubt my leo would even touch those things, she won't even eat a worm thats moving slowly, lol.
I personally like knowing what I put in my gut-load and knowing what conditions my worms are in, with those Can O Worms you have no idea. All the time I've been on this forum I think I heard of one other person using those worms successfully.
