Usually I've kept my Can O' Worms in the fridge, and I've noticed that after a while they turn dark and my geckos don't like them as much (expired?) Should I keep them in the fridge or in romm temp.?

If they are mealies then they can be kept in the fridge to slow the morphing into a beetle. Supers need to be kept at room temp. When they turn dark that pretty much means they are dead. You may want to take them out once a week to get food and moisture. Just let them sit overnight at room temp. They will eat and drink, then will be ready to go back in the fridge.

The ones I buy are already dead.

I'm surprised they actually eat that. Those are not nutritious at all. I would suggest switching to live mealies.

The PetPeople by my house has this or crickets, but I don't want to deal with the crickets, and my geckos are already used to eating the worms.

I think I'll stick with these. I think they've been gut loaded and everything, but they just aren't alive. They aren't dead and rotting or anything, and in fact I noticed that my geckos didn't like them after they've been expired which was three months after I bought them. After these though, I'm definetly going to get some crickets if these worms aren't nutritious like BlackDiamondGeckos said.

They're not. I recommend switching to live mealworms. Buy them online- they a lot cheaper than the cans and a lot better too. Rainbow, American Cricket Ranch, Worm Man all sell and ship, a lot more nutritious, but you still have to gut load these too. These are only recommendations- I'm sure most people would agree with me. I don't know anyone who feeds them the can o worms, mine won't even touch dead food. Ultimately you're going to choose what to do.

Thanks for the links! I just bought some worms, so after these go bad, I'll go back to crickets. During the summer, it'll be easier to just ride my bike down, buy some crickets, and come back.

I like buying from NYWorms.com or SunshineMealworms.com I've never used Can O Worms but I doubt my leo would even touch those things, she won't even eat a worm thats moving slowly, lol.

I personally like knowing what I put in my gut-load and knowing what conditions my worms are in, with those Can O Worms you have no idea. All the time I've been on this forum I think I heard of one other person using those worms successfully.

I used to use crickets, but switched to worms because they're easier to maintain. I've been using worms for a while and if anything, they've only helped fatten my geckos up. I'll switch back to live crickets though guys, don't worry!
