Can silkies be used as a staple diet?

I was wondering if you could use silkworms as a staple diet for geckos.

You can feed a lot of silkworms, but variety is always better. Do include some crickets if you can; after years of feeding my leos a variety of stuff, I'm starting to think crickets might really be the best staple (personal opinion only).

i used them as a staple for my chameleon he was super healthy.. but i dunno
