can sombody tell me a good heating pad?

well i have my first gecko in the mail and im going out tomarrow to get a heating pad and then his set up with be complete! but i have no idea on what kind to get and where lol. will i be able to get a good heating pad at a pet store? if so what brand should i look for?

I think ***co and ***smart both have good under tank heaters. I lile Zoo-Med's, personly I think it holds more of a stable tempature. make sure you have the right size for your cage they tend to run a little hot IMO.

ok does it say for a 10 gallon tank or somthing or do i have to estimate? haha

It will say 10 gallon on it. I think theres one for a 1-5 gallon, 10-20 gallon, etc. you should get the 10-20 gallon one.

I like the Komodo heat mats They seem well made, i havent had any problems with them yet and the ones ive used havent got too hot.

The first one i bought was a cheapish Algarde one and that gets really hot and instead of it being solid blocks of "black" its little strips. It just seems cheaply made and if i could id throw it out and replace it with another Komodo one....but try explaining to the hubby why you threw out a working mat :main_rolleyes:
