i know i read that you shouldnt feed your geckos something you caught outside, like wild crickets. is that okay to do that? there are a bunch of fat grasshoppers and crickets down here, and i was wondering if i could save a little bit of money or not. i have never given them wild insects. thanks.

No,
You don't know where those insects have been or ate. They could have been in a area that was infested with pestisids, and other chemicals and that wouldn't be healthy for any reptile. They could have also ate dog/cat poop if you have any dogs/cat in your neighborhood. I would rather spend the extra few bucks to keep my animal safe I don't know about you. :main_thumbsup:

I would never do it, but boy could I get some awesome food for my animals here in Florida. LOL!

From roaches to grass hoppers. You name it, you can find it here. Did I mention I hate bugs! I love all types of animals, but I hate bugs. I use to breed roaches for my leos and dragons. I hated them... I would never touch them either.
