can you handle tiger salamanders?

i want to get one but i want to be able to hold it.

I believe their skin is rather sensitive, so once in a while should be ok but not too often.

Once and a wile is okay. Like when you have to clean their tank out. and when you do you should wet your hands with water but they are amphibians so they will absorb alot of what is in the water so at least filtered water or RO. but if you set up a naturalistic terrarium for them that ends up working properly you should'nt have to clean it very often if at all. So more of an observe and Enjoy animal IMO.
