All of the racks seem pretty expensive and look like nothing more than a bookshelf with heat tape. Can you use a cheap bookcase as a rack?

I have a bookshelf enclosure.
the expensive part was the plexi glass, I think it was $50 bucks, and then i used a few uth and some lights eventually they will be all uth as i dont know how to use heat cable or anything like that.
it looks great i would have it out in the livingroom if I didnt have cats.
