Sorry about *kind of* posting the same thing twice, but I wanted to have these two together in the same thread (plus I forgot to mention the names before)

These are the two that hatched today, late for Easter, but that's all right :main_thumbsup:

Produced by Mack Snow fascio. cross Enigma x Super Snow from LBS x MS, both SSEs :sweetheart:

I’m with Paul the first one seems to be a Mack Enigma, and not a Super. Either way great hatchlings.

Thanks guys, we will just have to see what happens with that one.. the eyes look completely black and the stripe looks SS to me, but we'll see :)

I know with many Mack Enigmas the eyes are black and the reason for that is still unknown… at least to me.

And when you say strip, do you mean the white strip that is running down the gecko's back makes it a SSE?

Ok, so the full black eyes may not mean anything then..
Yeah, IMO the white stripe looks SS to me.. but I will say that it does look a little weird/different.. so I am not sure, but time will tell :main_yes:

Here's some pics of the two together..

The more I stare into the "questionable" one's eyes, I begin to start thinking I am seeing a normal eye, or at least a pupil.. but I don't know if I'm just seeing things now, I mean, if I look into any eye long enough, even a SS eye, I think I see a pupil after awhile, ya know what I mean? So I am not sure at all on this one.. I am leaning towards Mack Snow Enigma, but am still stumped on the stripe too..

Jess, the two I hatched today are a Mack Super Snow which very clearly has a dorsal stripe, and a Mack Snow Enigma which clearly does not have a dorsal stripe. It may be a Super Snow Enigma if the dorsal stripe is any indication. I wish you luck. I'm going to post pics of them later today so you can compare and contrast. In time the eyes will tell.

Thanks Ken, can't wait to see yours!! ;) I thought that the stripe would be the definite indicator. Castor's (the questionable one) stripe is slightly different looking than usual (doesn't go up as high on the nape of the neck, and doesn't go all the way down to the base of the tail) but I didn't think a Mack Snow Enigma would have a stripe like that

Thanks for the comments Kristi

I am going to go with Mack Snow Enigma on that one 100 % now.. as dark as its eyes do look, they just don't look the same. Super Snow eyes seem to radiate with darkness, and that one's eyes just don't do that. The face shape also doesn't seem super snow-ish. When I really look at the two together, I can tell some big differences in their faces anyway. I have no clue where the stripe came from though.
