Change of food item causing diarrhea?

Geez...I'm really worried.

Lemzip used to eat roaches, but about a week ago, I gave him a silkworm for variety; and since that, he had diarrhea - watery stools and semi-liquid form urate too. He has eaten less too, I didn't want to disturb him too much, so I left a dish of mealworms with him. And this morning, I found a bite wound on his tail...he must have accidently biten his own tail while trying to get the mealworms. Now he is acting like he's doomed...:(

Is there anything that I could do to get him back to normal (stop the diarrhea and become lively again)? I mixed a bit of Reptoboost in his water dish, hope that'll keep him better hydrated. I also took away his mealworms, I'll offer him roaches again tonight, hope he'll eat that. :main_no:

I don't know if its my illusion or what, but his tail looks a little deflated!

Bonnie, it isn't unusual that the stools are different with a different food staple. Once thier system acclimates to the new food, it should be fine. I don't know what could be happening with the tail, though!

Thanks Marcia! I offered him roaches last night, but he wasn't interested, I'll try again tonight. The part of his tail (tail tip) that he has accidently biten on is now bruised (no bleeding), I hope that'll heal up by itself soon.

Just another update, he ate 2 roaches last night, so that's very good. As long as he has an appetite, I think he'll be fine. I have also took a picture of his tail, it looked a bit more reddish and bruised than yesterday, but I think it'll heal up soon. :)
