Checking up on Oliver

Hi guys!
I'm just checking up on Oliver, and I was wondering how fat juveniles are supposed to be.
Oliver is now:
About 5 inches long (he could not stay still!) with tail
2 centimeters wide
And his head is about 1.5 centimeters wide, and 2 centimeters long.
His tail is:
2 inches long
1 centimeters wide.
Is this healthy for him? I'm still working on that tail, but for now it's this.:main_thumbsup:

He looks a little on the thin side IMO but not scary thin. I would suggest getting a cheap food scale from Walmart or Target ($15-$20) and weigh him every week and monitor his growth. If you notice him start to loose weight then you can react to the issue faster than if you just go by looks. I think monitoring weight is very important especially when it comes to young geckos.

+1 to what Brad said! He looks a little thin but being shipped and living at PetCo must be stressful for such a little guy. Keeping notes in accurate weight values is super important. Then if he stops eating for a few days you can keep know whether he's losing weight and you should start worrying or if he's just taking a break from being a chow hound. I picked up a super useful but tiny scale that measures in tenths of grams from Amazon for $9.

I had one gecko that took a couple months to adjust to living in my house and only ate sporadically the first month I had her. Weighing her once or twice a week helped me not worry too much since she was still putting on weight - even though more slowly than the others :)
