Chomped! Bite club member after 4 years.

After keeping herps for four years, I finally got my first bite. Not from any of my snakes. From my four-year-old female gecko, Zoey! I reached in to pick her up and clean her cage, and out of nowhere she starts struggling, turned her head around and tagged me. Lookit the blood! Hehe, my first thought was, "Whoohoo, my first bite!" And my second was, "Haha, look at all the blood...awesome."

As long as she does not develop a taste for human flesh we'll be okay... :main_thumbsup:

lol, welcome to the club! Lori got her first bite just the other night as well. i lost count a long time ago of how many times i've been bitten. never hard enough by a leo to draw blood, but a garg got me at a show last year while i was telling a customer how easy they were to handle...

Welcome. I've had only 3 bites that drew blood, but that's 3 more than I'd have liked. All three of mine have been from males, and 2 from the same male. You'd think I'd learn to wash my hands twice after handling another male before handling him. I'm a little slow sometimes.

yeah most of my bites are from males. they always draw blood :S strong buggers.
had many bite from a female that was attacked, only when its wound cleaning and med time which i can kina understand
