Been searching for the next "perfect" dish to use for putting the calcium powder in, found some at walmart that were the perfect size, they are under pot dishes but just as the pot they were hard clay, of couse I would put them all through the dishwasher before putting them in with my leos, but is the clay safe? No residue problems that anyone can think of? Thanks for any imput.

those work good OK or the cali but you can use a gatoraid lid or petri dish that will be maybe a little less likely to absorb any yuck if the leos poo in the cali and for some reason they just do that from tiem to time.

that would be my only concern that they clay can absorb the wetness from poo and it may not wash up as well as a slick coated product.

I use the little plastic floor protectors for your furniture legs for my calcium cups. You can get them at Menards or Home Depot for around $1.25 for four.

From walmart I use the small clay pot bottom and a larger for calcium mealworm dishes, however mine are glazed. No escape's as of yet, even crickets with hind legs pinched cant seem to get out unless too many at once are in there.

Scott, that is an awesome idea, never thought of those and I bet they help keep the leos from dumping the cali too since they would stick to the cage floor better, Ill have to get me some of those!

Yeh, they work awesome. Every time I'm in a store I always look for something I can use in my tubs. You never know what things you can come up with.
