Ok, you all know I have taken the plunge and ordered mass amounts of crickets since that's what my guys all love. How the heck do you clean out a cricket tub though? I'm using Jeremy's method of bin with screen on top. The bigger ones I'm not too concerned about, it's the wee little ones you can't see when they escape I can't figure out how to clean. I mean, it's like they are constantly growing and there's all these husks in the bin. Plus when I open the top they are just everywhere, so fast, so tiny and argh. Many thanks. My leos are just so happy now that they aren't looking at bowls of worms, and I'm happy I finally found an online supplier instead of spending a small fortune at the petstore.

Try making two of the bins with the screen lids. Leave some of those egg crates in the bin. Most of the crickets will be transferred on the egg crates. Then you can leave one hiding place for the remaining crickets to attract them. Once you've moved all the crickets, you can clean thoroughly.

My geckos and beardies go through crickets so fast that I just wait untill they are gone then clean it and if I'm lucky I calculated corectly and a new shipment of crickets is here just as I have ran out. after I clean the tank the new shipment gos in. Then the cycle continues....

Well, I store my crickets in plastic garbage cans with several egg crates stacked upright. I hold the egg crates, tip the can slightly in it's side, and shake/bounce the can until all the crickets and debris go to the bottom. Then I put the egg crates on the upper end where the crix will all scramble back, and then I use vinyl gloves and hand-scoop out all the dead crickets and debris. When the can gets empty, I clean it out with a pressure hose.
