Hey guys thought i'd post a cpl pics of my leos b4 i took them out to clean their cage, i also made sure they ate a bit too :)
(so please don't mind the mess the cleaning came afterwards lol)
Thet're slowly but surely getting used to me and dont scatter now when i go in their cage lol, but i still can't really "hold" them yet, if i can get one of them on my hands i keep my hand in cage since they'll still try to jump off me sometimes lol.

Sometimes it takes time to get one fat. We have a rescue that seems to be a constant battle to fatten her up. She has been checked for EVERYTHING at the vet. Be patient and eventually they will fatten right up. very pretty babies by the way!!!!

Nice. Are they both females? The jungle patterned one looks a little stressed. This could be due to competition in the cage, lack of heat, or another factor. Just wondering, I would only want the best for your little guys!

Good luck :)

Cool geckos!

It's very important to get the female out of there. You will end up with a female laying eggs too young. It's dangerous and stressful for her. And don't think they are too young to breed because they can. Having them together can also be why they aren't gaining weight quickly because they compete for food. I would get a tank as soon as possible for one of them. What size tank are they in now?

right now a 10 gal tank, next month i'm getting a much larger tank possibly 20long and use a divider til i'm ready for them to breed, i just got them like 2 weeks ago, i was told that they werent sexually mature yet for another cpl months....(i hope...)
I do see your concerns tho...i got them from breeder in the reptile show
As far as competing for food each day i spend time with them and sometimes even separate them to feed them, or i will drop mealies in front of them, so far it seems to go good, i do leave the mealies in food dish just in case i wasnt giving them enuff, as for the crickets i take 1 out and do feed separately and i love to watch them "hunt" for em lol

Even for breeding you're going to want 2 cages. By having the male around to harass her will only cause problems. I don't know what your plans are but I would a year or so before even trying to breed them. Leo's are easy to breed, BUT breeding isn't as simple as it seems. Take your time to learn more about them before taking the next step.

The Jungle one looks like it's getting ready to shed. I think Mat might have taken the dull colors as the gecko being stressed.

Do you have a moist hide?

yah i have a cpl hides and a moist hide, i dont plan on breeding them for awhile, but when i did do my research i was told 1 male to 2-3 females would be ideal for a nice gecko set up cage...then i talked to the breeder and was told that the female wont allow the male to do his thing til she was ready...looks like i have more researching to do, i just hate reading 1 thing and then something else tells me something different about the 1 thing i read...so filtering out some things is kinda hard if u understand what i'm saying
but thanks so far for the imputs :) i want nice happy stress free geckos...so pls keep the comments coming :)

Trust me I know. You kinda have to take everything in and look at what is constant in what people say. Usually that is what works best.

then i talked to the breeder and was told that the female wont allow the male to do his thing til she was ready...

With the presence of the male in the cage, the female will start to ovulate at an early age. So, she will breed at an early age. I would also say you need a 20 Long tank for a single gecko. I would also learn a bit more like you are before you breed them. It takes a lot of time...more than it seems like, to have a small breeding colony going. Good Luck. :)
