Hi all,
I'm designing a grout and foam wall and hides for my soon-to-be leo (I refuse to take him home until I have the viv absolutely perfect.) The grout will be painted with the fake rock paint, then sealed with a non toxic water resistant sealant from Krylon, who says all their products are non toxic when dry. These are going on top of a slate tile floor.
As all of these items are either new from Home Depot or created, I really want to clean them off and disinfect them thoroughly (after outgassing for a few days) before assembling the viv. I've heard a few different ways to clean hides and such for geckos:
-10% bleach/90% water solution, spray, rest, and rinse
-white vinegar solution, spray and rinse
-commercial reptile sprays
Which of these cleaning methods would be best for grout and foam hides? I don't want to damage the things I've built, but I want everything super clean and safe for my leo-to-be!
Thanks!
