what do you use to clean your gecko's home? my roommate has some sort of spray-- i'm not sure exactly what it's called, as i'm out of town at the moment, but it works i guess like windex or whatever-- just spray it in and wipe it out. it's made for cleaning reptiles' enclosures. it's what i've been using; is that the best thing to use? i know someone else who just uses soft soap. is that alright? or is there something better out there?

You can use whatever you are most comfortable with, and what you feel accomplishes not only the cleaning of it, but the disinfecting part as well.

I use diluted vinegar for the weekly wipe downs, and once a month use a safe level of diluted bleach to thoroughly clean with - of course rinsing, then letting air dry before replacing the gecko.

I used to use a spray like what you described, but it got expensive fast. I'll be breeding this year, so I cannot imagine how much I would be going through!

Healthy Habitat by Natural Chemistry. Works really good, completly safe for all your reptiles. spray and wipe, no rinsing no harsh chemical smell. The small bottles can be a bit pricey in pet stores so I buy it by the gallon at the reptile show each year.

I use a very diluted Dettol and I wipe down the cage. After that, I put it into the shower stall and I start spraying it down with water. After that, I let it air dry in my air-conned room.

I use this spray stuff called "Wipe Out".
You just spray, let it sit for 5 minutes, than wipe away.

You can find it at PetStupid.
