Climbing?

The outgoing leo I just got seems to want to climb. Even the glass. So... I was thinking of putting up a textured background. Should I get vines or something as well?

I've got a beardie who's the same way, tends to find his way onto your head. lol

Anyone else got one that loves climbing? How do you set up their tanks for them?

I've currently got 3.5 hides (one is a little half log), water dish and food/calcium dish. There's still a good bit of room for decorating walls or a vine/branch set up.

lmao..be careful about the climbing!

I have a leopard gecko and she can even climb the vines...I don't know how since they are just plants, but she holds on for dear life! once she gets to teh top of the plant, she grabs onto the ledge of the tank and can climb right out (all under supervison of course) and if the tank lid is on, she trys to hang upside down and climb the screen....but she falls cause she is a leopard gecko and does not have the suction feet as some other geckos do...lol Nevertheless, she does it over and over again and it's so cute :)

Ares lives to climb.
Short and sweet.

Kiya also used to love climbing on peoples heads.
However, she did not seem to enjoy a lot of climbing in her environment.

Thanks! John and I went out and got a textured background for the new guy to climb, we put it in for a moment to see how we'd attach it, and before we could blink the little guy/girl was out of his hide and checking it out. Climbed up and down it as we just held it in place. We've since used a clear tape around it so he can't reach the screen top. lol We'll probably get a hammock once we get more money. Spent quite a bit in the last two days to make sure they're comfy.

Thanks for the help. Little guy is happy for it. :-D

A cheap alternative for a good climbing environment is a cork memo board (try and ensure it's not treated).

Something like this :

You can get small ones in the £1 shops over here in the UK, just break them up and make wee obstacle courses for them to climb on.
