Hey guys, have a quick question, can geckos carrying co dominant genes such as the mack snow line display line bred traits such as a bold stripe? i know the het mack snows will show it as a normal would but will it appear on a super snow? Most Ive seen have the standard patterns with little change. Is this due to the homozygous form of the gene "writing over" all the line breeding done in previous generations? or am i missing something? thanks guys =D

Yes they can. It would be harder to produce because you have to get the Co Dom gene with the linebred traits. And obviously you wouldn't be able to produce the line bred trait to it's full extent, as the codom gene would wash some of it out. A good example is a Creamsickle- Mack Snow SHTCT.

We actually have some bold stripe mack snows. If this works, you should be able to see a pic of a couple in this thread.

The one girl was bred to a bold stripe bell last year. One baby was produced. It was a stripe het bell. I don't know if any snows produced would have had a stripe or not.

thanks for your replies guys! And i love the 6th pic down, she looks so good! Also do you think it would be able to make a super snow with a bold stripe that intense? ive only seen a few bold stripe super snows and they have just a little bit of striping, nothing crazy like you could see on the het snows.
