No, we never got him to talk. I was pretty upset about that. But some things he chirps I can tell what he's trying to say. His "Kramer, come", "No biting", "hello", and kissing noise are very distinct. He also flirts with Nikki with that little whistle. I love this guy. I go away to school, but the second I come home he runs to me and presses his head against my face for me to rub it.
Kramer is so cute!! I have a cockatiel too, except for mine is all gray with the bright yellow head and orange patches. He's very territorial and won't let anyone near him but myself, but I've been with him since he was just an egg. He's good at kissing noises too, and can do the wolf whistle and the calvary charge but he usually gets too excited and just mixes everything together. Mine doesn't talk either but he's so close and tries really hard to say 'pretty bird'. I can hear it but it just doesn't come out completely so I know exactly what you mean! They're fun little guys, but they can be so loud...
Yes they can be loud. My aunt had three cockatiels and two quakers, and they were very loud. My conure made the house sound like a jungle when he went off.
Very adorable! I used to have a cockatiel, but when I moved away to college my mom gave him to a friend. I go see him now and then. He's doing quite well. That's her only pet and she treats him like a little prince.
Thats how my family is with him. He is probably inside his cage for an hour a day. He eats whatever my family is eating for lunch or dinner. Haha. I wish I could have brought him to school with me.
Now that I'm out of school I would love to have another bird of some sort, but I only live in a 3 bedroom house and I already have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 5 geckos and 2 snakes.....so needless to say I think my fiance would kill me if I bought a bird. Maybe when we move I will get a bird.
Haha.. just thought you guys might want a little laugh. I was reading some posts on here with Kramer on my shoulder. He saw the curser moving across the screen and bolted down my chest, over the keyboard (typing some letters in the meantime) and tried attacking the curser. I kept moving it and he would follow it everywhere (still typing letters and numbers). So I had my laugh and moved the curser to where he couldn't see it and he tried eating each and every word on the screen. As if I wasn't laughing hard enough at this, he was whistling and singing to every leo picture that popped up on the screen. When I would click out, he would look back at me like "What the hell!?" Oh man... I was rolling...
