COLOUR CHANGE

HI everyone, For the past few months my male gecko hasnt been eating very well:main_huh: but was reassured by the vet that all was well and that he was approaching the breeding season, so he stayed the weekend with some females and appears okish. but over the past 2 weeks i have noticed his skin changing colour. he is about 4.5 years and a bright yellow and black but the yellow area has decreased and his skin has turned a grey colour. any ideas ?????

He has a wet hide and a warm hide but prefers the wet and spends most of his time in there. I have a heat mat on continuously and he get lots of natural light. The day time temp is anything from 80 to 90 degrees. Since his colour change I have removed the wet hide and am spraying water to keep the humidity. He has no interest in locusts and will only eat meal worms at a push. I did have to give him some electrolyte liquid from the vet which he had. I am at a loss to think what I'd wrong.
