Colours and pigmentation

Hi,
could you tell me, please, what has an influence on gecko's colours and their intensity? Of course apart from keeping temperature and genetics, because it's known.

Well, I believe temperature and genetics are the biggest factors by far. If I am understanding your question... Also, surroundings have been shown to contribute to the intensity of the colors. If the leo is on white ground, the colors will become much brighter than if it were on black ground, and of course it varies in intensity depending on other colors. If that is even what you are looking for, that is all of the info I can help you with. I'm sure someone else can give more info, such as breeders who have actually experimented with this.

I remember a thread where Marcia from goldengategeckos (I'm not 100% sure it was she), made an experiment with white and brown ground, and as you said, geckos were brighter on white paper towel from those which were kept on brown carpet or something. I need to look for that thread... I will post link to it if I find it.
