I was curious about feeding my red tail, right now i feed him once a week, is that too much? should i maybe feed him once every other week i just got him and hes almost 2' long, i mesured him at 1'6", im going to move him to a tall 30 gal soon right now hes in a 20 gal.

At that size, I don't think once a week is too much at all, as long as the feeding response is good. Sounds to me like it is.

I don't think there's really any reason to consider slowing until it can take a large to jumbo rat (4' to 5').
