Completely Melanstic Leo

What's everybody's views on a completely melanstic leopard gecko? Some people say that the Midnight Blizzard is it, but I'm not really buying that. Could a melanistic gecko eventually just pop up in somebodys incubator, or would it be line bred? Thanks!

It is always a possibility that a melanistic animal could pop up in someones incubator. Wilder things have. That to me this is what makes this hobby so darn exciting. Midnight blizzards all though dark are not melanistic. There are some folks working on line bred melanistics. There is also much speculation that the mack snows will actually produce the first true melanistic Leos. I would agree from some of the pics that I have seen.
