Haven't you ever heard that quote that says 'To err is human, but to really foul things up requires a computer'? It's just so true.

Technology is simple
it is "simply expensive"!!

Sorry to hear about all of your misfortunes

I have to have my sewer line dug up tomorrow and I had to put down a $500 deposit and I am praying that they won't have to replace too much broken line
It's always something

Oh and while we're on the subject-my dogs Deramaxx which two of them can not live without went up $50 form the last time that we purchased it about 45 days ago
A bottle of 90 was $258

shesh.........

You just can't win some days..........still- I am thankful that there is such a drug to help them stay alive and control their pain
OK-I'm done ranting-sorry to sidetrack here........

going back to computers-I was extremely fortunate last year to buy my first brand new computer
My previous ones had all been second and third hand and woefully behind in technology
I bought a Core Duo Toshiba notebook with the now standard DVD burner and I love it
It takes up almost no space and can be used just like a desktop PC
I love the screen display on it too

If you get a chance to check out the new notebooks/laptops-they have really come down in price and of course they have the advantage of being portable
I love to bring mine outside(they all have wi-fi) on the back porch on the nice summer nights

Linux didn't start the whole PC mess. I don't expect you to remember this far back, but "Disk Operating System" or DOS for short! Microsoft! :main_rolleyes:

OMG I remember using DOS. Kids these days have it SOOOOO easy!

There was a time that if you wanted to save something you used a cassette tape. Don't start me on the green screens. ggrrrrrr

Ah, the days of 8088s and 5.25" 256 kb floppy disks. Good times, good times!

Don't get on your high horse, there are times when I have to muck around with that nasty $#!% called DOS and its loathesome. Flashing the BIOS and clearing the CMOS is always fun too. Just because they made it simpler to use doesn't means its simple to fix.

I HATTTTE Microsoft.
