hey im very new to this whole gecko care stuff. i recently bought a leopard gecko from a friend of mine because he wasn't looking that good and didn't look liek she cared much for him anymore but he was just to cute. heh. i just recently found out that waxworm's should only be a treat but that's all i knew what to feed him. :( now after some research i read up apon impaction and its signs.he hasnt pooped in a while maybe 2-3 days. when i found out i stopped feeding him. i tried feeding him other things like grickets and mealworms. he wont eat any of those but waxworm's and grickets just a little bit. he doesnt seem stressed his movements are fine just no poop and only waxworm diet..... please help...thanks guys.]

From what you posted, it sounds like your gecko has only been eating waxworms in the past? Many geckos who only have a diet of waxworms become addicted to them, and will only eat them. It might take a while for it to become used to or switch to eating crickets and mealworms. What you can do is provide it a bowl of mealworms so as it gets hungery it will have food.

Other than that, how long have you had this gecko? If it has been a few days, the gecko might still be trying to get used to its new surroundings and as a result is not pooping. Also, what substrate are you using and what substrate did your friend use? Impaction usually is a result of loose substrate like sand and woodchips. If you are using a loose substrate, I recommend switching to tile, repticarpet, newspaper, or papertowel.

I hope this helps.

ive had him for 3 weeks or so. and i just swicthed to repicarpet today, from sand that i and the present owner have been using. and yes the person i got him from only fed him waxworms and rarely crickets. there are 3 or so in his cage now but he just stalks them doesnt eat them tho. have mealworms in a dish as well but he might have one or to. the minute i get waxworms i only let him have one or two but i know hed eat more. he also seems a lil chubbier by his back legs torso area. not sure what to do. and thank you!!
