My female Leo has had an issue the entire time that i have had her with laying eggs. She is NOT prolific and has never laid any successful eggs since i have had her (about a year and a half)......in fact there have only been maybe about 3-4 occasions where she has laid eggs and she didn't even lay them in the laybox.....she laid them in the corner where she poops. i do not know if THOSE EGGS just dried out fast by the next morning or if they were neve fertile in the 1st place.
As of now- we had introduced her in with our male super giant and he definately had his way with her, so i am pretty sure she is currently gravid......but that being said, it has been nearly 3 months since she was supposed to be grivid and my concerns are that there is something wrong. She acts fatigued, her tail has gotten VERY thin, she is not eating, ect.... which are all signs of being preggo, i think....but whats taking so long?
1. Should i be worried that she is harboring, gonna crash, or some other really bad stuff is going on?
2. What could be going on and what should i do?
3. Any other oppinions/suggestions/concerns???
ANYTHING YOU ALL CAN SAY WILL HELP. THANKS FOR READING THIS, AND HERE ARE PICTURES OF HER NOW:

She's definitely distended and looks gravid, in spite of the skinny tail. Can you see if she's gravid? She may be egg bound, and if so there's probably little you can do.

If she's in with the male, I'd seperate them for sure. And "if" she makes it through whatever's wrong now, I'd suggest keeping her as a pet. I don't think she should be bred, but that's simply my opinion. At least I'd personally not use her as a breeder with the history you're describing.

Good Luck! :)

Aside from the obvious "why are you still breeding her" question...

From her appearance you should be taking her to the vet. It sounds like she is not meant to be a breeder and if she survives this attempt should be kept as a pet.

With what you have describe she is more than likely gravid, could be egg bound, could be impacted, could crash, could die....Only a good reptile vet will be able to tell you for sure.

I'm sure you are worried about her; please take her to a vet as soon as you are able to.

Good luck!

Thank you both.....and even though I am pretty sure that what is happening is a BAD thing, i appreciate the advice. i will do what you both say and just HOPE that she makes it. She is by herself now (to answer that question) and will stay that way from this point forward. thanks.....and i'll just hope for the best.
